The purpose of the website is to transmit the information on Yoshino River from its hilltop to the ocean as one of the follow-up activities for The Third World Water Forum Sesion "The Dialogue between the Ocean and the Freshwater Communities" and its related excursion held in March, 2003. We designed an Yoshino River Eco-tour by highlighting visiting spots hoping that many people feel the continuity of the natural phenomena through forest, river, ocean and sky by knowing the various aspects of Yoshino River. Information for those who actually plan to visit the Yoshino River site including the transportation/logistic information are also included along with some contents from the WWF3 excursion held in March 2003. Yoshino River which runs through Kochi and Tokushima Prefecture was chosen as one of the best examples to study about the comprehensiveness of the water management. Its geographical, topological and giological charactors from the hilltop to the ocean are comprehensively featured. 　 Beautiful photos and short videos of the Yoshino River Basin will be found in the website. Usage of the materials are permitted only for the private purposes, not for the official purposes.
